The surroundings of Arraial d'Ajuda
			Some of the most beautiful beaches of Bahia and Brazil are close to Arraial d'Ajuda and easy to reach by car, bus or boat.

		Recommended for a visit are Taípe with its cliffs (falésias), Rio da Barra and the beaches Curuípe and Espelho, south of Trancoso.

	Trancoso with the historical "Quadrado" and more south-ward Caraíva, situated at the edge of the National Park of Monte Pascoa,l are also favorite destinations. In the North you find the villages of Santa Cruz Cabrália and Santo André.

	Porto Seguro, the small place at the Costa do Descobrimento, is located 5 km away on the other side of the river Buranhém. The ferry works 24 hours a day. Porto Seguro is a good place for banking, shopping, dining and nightlife.
